The Life

I live in Las Vegas with my two cats, Apple Jacks (orange) and Rigatoni (black). Every morning, they serenade me with a rousing chorus of “WAKE UP DAD WE HAVEN’T EATEN IN 10 YEARS.” It’s their favorite song.

After I feed them, I head to the gym, then into my office. I’m the founder and CEO of doorstep.music, the largest in-home music school in the Southwest, which gives me a lot of flexibility with work. I love my job, leading 50 amazing teachers and watching hundreds of students grow.

Most days end with yoga, which centers my mind. Somewhere in there, I’ll get a few miles of walking in, usually listening to Pastor Jerry Flowers, Pastor Mike Jr., Pastor Rick Warren, Dr. Charles Stanley, or Pastor Josh Ties.

I’m pretty spontaneous, so expect random adventures, last-minute trips, and the occasional “your bags are packed. Hop in!”

I love traveling around CA/NV/AZ and internationally, but I will always go to Disney more times than any reasonable adult should.

I love thrills, like rollercoasters, scuba and skydiving, but I’m also thoughtful. I have a degree in music composition and have performed in more choirs than I can count.

With me, you’re the passenger princess. Let's just have fun every day. Life's short. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed.

Disclaimer: Sam has a normal neck when not literally FALLING OUT OF A FREAKING PLANE at 120 mph. Also, this was a random Sunday before church, and I booked it like 12 hours earlier.

A random Thursday for me

Getting in the Tesla and full self driving to Disneyland, dinner at the park, and fireworks. And of course we have lightning lane... premiere.

My passion

Music is who I am

My purpose in life is to move others through music. I believe the world can be a better place.

I absolutely love writing music.

I've performed in countless choirs, churches and ensembles. It's my thing! I love it!

Friends and Family

I love my friends and family more than anything.

Family

Family is the most important thing in the world to me. I would put my family before anything else except Jesus, but Jesus is the center of my family. I will never, ever choose a job over spending time with the people I love.

Friends

I have singlehandedly solved the male loneliness epidemic. Most of my friends are people I've met through my church community, and I am so grateful that God has blessed me with so many people who care about me, show me what it means to be a Man of God, and to live better every day.
